For the new metro system in Kochi (Kerala), India, the acoustics office K5 GmbH was commissioned with measurements on the public address systems for several stations.
For a total of five stations, the systems were first optimised by Jakob Kraft with new filter settings and then the speech intelligibility was measured and documented with the “Monkey Forest” measuring system over three nights.
Every assignment of this kind is a technical and cultural challenge; however, a trip to India remains unforgettable.
