Accreditation as test laboratory according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025
We are a DAkkS accredited testing laboratory for DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 (General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories):
- determination of emissions and immissionsof sounds,
- the assessment of speech intelligibility and
- the Immission Control module (country specific).
The accreditation is registered under the number D-PL-20822-01-00 and applies to the procedures listed in the accreditation certificate.
VMPA test center according to DIN 4109
Akustikbüro K5 GmbH is a member of VMPA (Verband der Materialprüfanstalt e.V.) and a certified sound insulation testing laboratory according to DIN 4109. Our testing laboratory is listed in the VMPA directory under the following number VMPA-SPG-233-21-B.
Notified body
We have been notified by the State of Berlin as an expert body in accordance with § 29b of the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) in conjunction with the Ordinance on the Notification of Immissions (41. BImSchV) for the activities referred to in paragraph V.A publication of the announcement can be viewed via the RESYMESA research system of measuring points and experts.
Quality management
Akustikbüro K5 GmbH operates a quality management system. This is a prerequisite for accreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 as a testing laboratory-we live the system and use it for improvement and error prevention.

Memberships & Standards Committees
Tobias Kirchner is a member of DEGA as well as a member of the DIN and VDI standards committee for acoustics, noise reduction and vibration technology (subcommittee NA 001-02-03-03 UA for the revision of DIN 18041).Jakob Kraft is a member of DEGA’s standards committee “Voice Alarm Systems and Electroacoustic Emergency Warning Systems” (DKE/AK 713.1.17). In this committee the DIN VDE 0833-4 is supervised among other standards.
